for now

i have my TV boyfriends...

michael vaughn {alias}
perfectly kind, sensitive and tough. he makes saving the world {and sydney bristo, at times} seem effortless.

jim halpert {the office}
he makes me smile. what i wouldn't give to work next to him. and see him everyday. i would never stop smiling. ever.

pacey witter {dawson's creek}
adventurous, sweet and vulnerable. what a combo. he's my bad-boy crush. every girl's got to have one.

thank you boys.

my mister darcy

{here is a picture of a darling little street at notting hill}

why-oh-why wasn't i born with a real british accent? i mean i know why... the thing is, i've been pretending for years but you don't even know how badly i wish it wasn't all just a game. if i had such a gift i would talk to myself all day long. i would never stop. sure, i might not have any friends, since they would get tired of hearing me jabber on. but i would be my friend...

well, either way its too late for that dream to come true. i'm american through and through. but one tender mercy still does exist...on the other side of my cubicle {at work} sits a man named simon, who is in fact from the UK and although i rarely see his face, i do hear his lovely accent throughout the day...luckily i have this to feed my craving.

which come to think of it is not unlike my obession with the fact that i like to sit on the front row during sunday school so i can catch a whiff of those wondrous dry erase markers..mmm...

so if all works according to plan, one day, i am going to fall in love with a sunday school teacher from britain {he will notice me because i will be sitting there on the front row of course, and my good looks and rapist wit will lure him in, naturally}

and then i shall call him ... "my mister darcy"

yeah, that sounds good. i'll have that.

the jorb

remember this post?

yeah...well...times have changed. honestly, i LOVE my job.
i never thought i would ever ever ever say that, not in a million years. but it's true.

i love...

that my hours are flexible
  • 8 to 5 / 8:30 to 5:30 with a lunch
  • 8 to 4 / 8:30 to 4: 30 lunch at my desk
  • leave early one day, stay late the next...the point is it's up to me. love that.

my co-workers

  • everyone is so laid back and fun. we play pranks and send endless emails that have me rolling all day long. "the girls" {the 4 of us that have our cubicals all together} give me dating advice, fashions ideas and reading updates on "eclipse"
  • and hello, i work with jennifer. bff. europe tour 2007.

my boss

  • jessica - she is the greatest supervisor EVER. smart, beautiful, fun, and oh so sweet. she is also one of "the girls" ...so yeah the dating advice etc. etc. she's the bomb.com

that i get to be creative

  • basically jessica and i decide what gift sets we want to create. then we go shopping, fo real...and get "ideas" that we take to our vendor. then we tell them our ideas and they bring us back a "sample" of our idea in tangible form. we make changes, add details and go through the process again and again until we get what we want. then it goes out into the world...sounds like a movie, huh? but no, it's real. that's what i do. a dream really.

the pay

  • let's just say making more $$ and saving on gas = makes liz a happy girl!

the perks

  • Tahitian Noni Products
  • benefits
  • company parties and department lunches

turns out working a full-time job doesn't have to be such a drag. who knew?

europe tour 2007

hello again...
i am so sure you have all just been dying for another post from your favorite blogster. the winds of changes have been blowing me all over the place.

just got back to the states after a two week backpacking adventure. it was absolutely. positively. one of the best opportunities i have ever had. loved every minute...well minus one short minute when a hairy-mouthed, pocket-sized, homeless parisian man, kissed my arm. eehck.

so without further ado here are a few (3 out of 500+) of my
favorite pics.

a. there's me at westminister abbey. one of my most favorite sights in London. where Princess Diana's funeral service was held and has the tomb of Elizabeth I (as well as many other influential people)

b. the eiffel tower at night. such a surreal experience. loved the twinkle lights. also ran into a real live gypsy there, who was asking me for help (but really wanted something more -- aka my money) not to worry, an angel whispered "gypsy" in my ear just as i was about to open my mouth, so she just walked away. seriously. i thought it was jennifer. she swears she didn't say a word.
crazy, no?

c. jennifer and i took a train up to the Top of Europe.
the jungfraujoch, in switzerland. v. v. cool. literally. it was quite chilly. the lack of oxygen had us all giggly, especially in the ice palace -- a room made of ice, with ice sculptures and ice-holes.

sorry, tried to upload more pictures but this computer is slower than a slug. also went to Salzburg, Austria and took the Sound of Music Tour. turns out the hills are alive after all. and the darling houses are straight out of a cuku clock store window.

to be continued...
