gingie houses
the smallish one, with the brown assymmetrical roof, was created by jennifer and myself. our intial vision was a quaint english cottage but after the roof fell apart for the umpteenth time we decided to go with a more frank lloyd wright meets country chalet feel.
while cassie and marissa went with the classic hansel and gretel country style, complete with a colored necco roof top, tree of life {using runts} and giant mickey mouse ears {on the backside}.
three cheers for sugar!

mine friend
a. laugh
b. cry
c. talk
d. buy
e. travel
f. remember
i first met katie my sophomore year of highschool. both of our last names start with the same letter so when we were taking the SATs we had to sit next to eachother. we bonded during one of the breaks while watching tellitubies. the rest is history.
i saw katie pretty much everyday of my highschool life. and then we went to college and i got to live with her. that was a real treat. laughing til we cried and crying til we laughed. everyday was filled with memories that i'd tightly stored away. now and again i carefully bring them out just because...and i'm reminded of how wonderful life is.
katie has always been one of those constants. ever since i met her. don't know what i'd do without her loyalty, her sillyness, and her tender heart.
thanks kates, for being you.

random facts
10 things you may not know about me...
1. i can't stand the feel of cotton balls. it gives me the chills.
2. i am weirded out by yeast. you know, the stuff used to make bread. i don't like the fact that it's alive. or "active." whatev. that's just wrong.
3. i hit my snooze button approximately 4 times every morning.
4. once i get out of bed i'm actually pretty happy. some might even say hyperactive. and those "some" people might not enjoy my excitement at such early hours. ahem, crystelle.
5. i think too much. if something is on my mind it can take hours for me to fall asleep at night.
6. i am ambidextrous. i write with my left. i cut with my right. i eat with my left. i throw with my right. i am SUPER WOMAN!
7. i don't like having unfinished projects. it stresses me out {see number 5}.
8. when i'm outside and it's dark, i have a secret fear of being chased. and i always wonder...how much faster would i run and where would i run to, if i was being chased?
9. i stole a piece of gum {extra - the green flavor} from my sister's dresser, when i was like 6 years old and i have felt guilty ever since. she never asked and i never told. sorry sister. ah, feels good to get that one off my chest.
10. i am not patient enough to come up with more than 10 random facts.
now it's your turn.

halloweenie
1. i was shego from kim possible for the halloween party we threw at the headquarters {our house}
2. i was theodore from alvin and the chipmunks for the ward talent/halloween party {sorry no pic of that one. forgot the cam}
3. i was an oompa loompa on the actual day of halloween. i wore that costume {with face paint and wig} to work and trick-or-treating for a total of 14 hours. i am pretty amazing and darn lucky that my face isn't permanently dyed orange.
i heart halloween.

lookie like
and then you think "oh yeah, she looks like 'so and so' from highschool or like jimmy's brother's wife's sister or my 5th grade art teacher."
well i get that often. most of the time it's "you look like this girl i know from...blah blah blah..." when that happens, at first i think cool, i will kind of get an idea of what face i am portraying to the world. but if they are comparing me to some random person i have never seen or will never meet then how does this help me? it doesn't.
however, every once in awhile i get those people who say "you kinda look like ____ " and that blank is someone famous. i love it when i get those comments because that does help. luckily no one's ever said "you remind me of danny devito or eizma from the emperor's new groove"
here are some of the stars i've been compared to...
naomi watts - king kong, the ring, nicole kidman's side kick
elisha cuthbert - 24 {jack's daughter} and a number of r-rated films i never care to see
hilary duff - lizzie mcguire, etc. you know who she is. i am guessing most people are comparing me to the pre-anorexic/plastic surgery/brunette phase hilary. Thursday, October 18, 2007

my cube
really you can only see a bit of my space since i took the picture myself {in a sneaky-like manner because i felt dumb that someone might see}
AND...my superior, jessica, had her little baby girl on monday...so looks-a-like this is my time to shine!
good thing jennifer is still just one floor up, to coach me in all things corporate.
wish me luck.

i heart alice
Which Twilight novel character are you?
You're Alice Cullen - You are vivacious and full of energy! Your childlike way of looking at life makes you both amusing and special to your friends. You make an excellent friend, although you do have a tendency to get uppity if you're not immediately given your way- people often give into you for your charm.

perfectly kind, sensitive and tough. he makes saving the world {and sydney bristo, at times} seem effortless.
jim halpert {the office}

pacey witter {dawson's creek}
adventurous, sweet and vulnerable. what a combo. he's my bad-boy crush. every girl's got to have one.
thank you boys.

my mister darcy
why-oh-why wasn't i born with a real british accent? i mean i know why... the thing is, i've been pretending for years but you don't even know how badly i wish it wasn't all just a game. if i had such a gift i would talk to myself all day long. i would never stop. sure, i might not have any friends, since they would get tired of hearing me jabber on. but i would be my friend...
well, either way its too late for that dream to come true. i'm american through and through. but one tender mercy still does exist...on the other side of my cubicle {at work} sits a man named simon, who is in fact from the UK and although i rarely see his face, i do hear his lovely accent throughout the day...luckily i have this to feed my craving.
which come to think of it is not unlike my obession with the fact that i like to sit on the front row during sunday school so i can catch a whiff of those wondrous dry erase markers..mmm...
so if all works according to plan, one day, i am going to fall in love with a sunday school teacher from britain {he will notice me because i will be sitting there on the front row of course, and my good looks and rapist wit will lure him in, naturally}
and then i shall call him ... "my mister darcy"
yeah, that sounds good. i'll have that.
