st. george-ous

a few of us girlies decided to head south for an easter weekend getaway. we had a total blast!
we participated in activities such as: hiking red rocks
freezing our faces off at tuacahn - the outdoor ampitheater - but the concert was so worth it!

attending the st. george arts festival and taking our very own "artistic" photos sleeping and talking. talking and sleeping.

and driving.

thanks to megan for hosting our little vacay. loved it.

day trip

on saturday cassie and i took a little day trip to manti, utah.

we met up with my brother, sister and the kids for some good times.

there was fishing, swimming, four-wheeling and horse back riding.

unfortunately i'm allergic to horses, so i didn't participate in the horse back riding activity...but maybe that's a good thing since little champ bucked cassie right off!

don't worry, champ is a miniature pony so cassie's fall wasn't too far.

our peoples unite

last weekend we had a cowboys and indians party to celebrate the b.days of cassie and tanner. it really was so fun. since a) costumes were required and b) we had yummy food + a pinata.

not to mention a sing-a-long, pin the hat on the cowboy, and country dancin'.

i might venture to say this was one of our greatest parties yet. we are getting way too good at this...people never want to go home. at the end of the night {to help people get the hint} cassie and i {both indians} started doing the dishes, while the cowboys lounged around. typical. still took another 2 hours after that before i finally fell into bed. good times were had by all!

ps. cassie and i both made our indian costumes. that's right, i can sew. not bad huh?

but really i couldn't be happier for these two. they complement eachother perfectly!
