presenting...

a week and a half ago i, liz, gave my first corporate presentation. luckily 'twas on the Tahitian Noni Gift Collection, which just happens to be my area of expertise so ya know, i ROCKED it!

sweet Jennifer, being the fab friend that she is, let me practice on her many a time and helped me refine and perfect everything. and she even came down to take some picsies, marking the special occasion. what a lamb.

now today i am meeting with the president of TNI to update him on all things gifting!

seems like lately i've really been climbing that corporate ladder and making a name for myself here at TNI, which is AWESOME. but that doesn't mean i'm not shakin in my boots. cause heck! i am.
wish me luck.

little dude

just wanted to give a birthday shout-out to one of my favorite little buddies...my nephew yousef turns 3 today!

some of yousef's favorite things are:
  • pirates
  • cartoons
  • and chocolate milk

one of my favorite things about yousef is that whenever i go over to his house he's always so happy to see me and greets me with a big hug. but this is no ordinary hug. this is the kind of hug where he even rests his little head on my shoulder for a few minutes and just lets me give him a real good squeeze. love that.

my new fave

okay, so american idol last night. best performance ever. david cook. "you'll always be my baby." luckily tivo allowed me to re-watch it 3 times. so good.

i'll admit, before last night, i didn't even like him. i thought he had a great voice but i just couldn't get over his look. mainly his hair. which i still don't like but seriously he needs to be the next american idol. besides the hair (and slightly elfish features) he's the whole package. he can sing, he takes chances and makes every song his own.

of course, i still love sweet little david archuleta..but i just don't think he should be the next american idol. he's more of a ballad guy with an amazing voice, doing the same thing over and over. which he's good at it but i just don't think he'll sell as much as someone as original david cook.

*this is just my opinion, feel free to disagree. i also reserve the right to change my mind. multiple times if necessary.

i love famous people

a few weeks ago novell hosted their brainshare event..whatever that means...anyway chelsey's sister kym is over events at novell so she invited us to come along.

the event included:
a) a free meal
b) front row seats to the concert
c) backstage passes

there was nothing that could stop us from missing out on that.

so before the show we got to dine with comedian frank caliendo - he is hilarious. seriously, you should youtube him right now. you will die. that was a great start to the night.

then the concert - collective soul - was totally AWESOME! took me back to my freshman year at byu. i would listen to "dosage" every single day. so you can imagine my excitement when we got to go backstage after the concert and MEET the band!

i was so star-struck. for real. i couldn't stop smiling. pretty much the first words out of my mouth were "i love drummers." then i turned to the guitarist, "oh, i love guitarists too." then to the bass player "and i love bass players." and finally to the lead singer i said "and i love singer/songerwriters."

that's right before the photographer snapped the group shot. then ed {the lead singer} pointed to my puffy vest and asked "so is it cold out?" i replied with "oh no, this is for fashion!" right then he started laughing, wrapped his arms around me and another photo was snapped. yes!

and that is how i had the best night ever!
